(Taking the mystery out of compound butter)
Note: This is too easy not to consider. Changing the spice or herb changes the effect. It is one of the quickest and easiest ways to “spark” any recipe
3- Tbsp. butter or SMART BALANCE spread
½ – tsp. ground ginger
½ – tsp. ground cinnamon
salt and pepper to taste
How to prepare the recipe:
Allow the butter or SMART BALANCE to soften at room temperature.
Combine with spices.
Place on a sheet of plastic wrap and form into a log. Refrigerate until firm again and slice into discs.
Place on a baked sweet potato or chicken or pork.
